Dizzy Near the End of Field Day

Case overview

Field Day has been noisy since morning, and Terrence has spent the last hour counting teams, sunscreen bottles, and water breaks. Near the end of the relay races, Amara steps out of line and bends over with both hands on her knees. She says the ground feels like it is moving. Terrence knows that a child can be tired for many ordinary reasons, but he also sees that Amara is pale, sweaty, and slower to answer than she was during the last event. The shade tent is across the field, the health office has a field-day communication plan, and the other students are still waiting for instructions. Terrence must decide whether to pause the event or let Amara rest until the next race.
