Case overview
Marisol has kept the trailing houseplant by the living-room shelf for years. When she moves it into a larger blue pot, Ben jokes that it finally has room to spread out. Three days later, several leaves look pale and soft. The plant is in nearly the same place, but the room was rearranged that weekend too, and Marisol cannot tell which change came first. Ben wants to move it again. Marisol wants to slow down. The old setup and the new one may hold a clue, but she has not sorted out the timing or what changed from one day to the next. Marisol wants to learn what changed in the new container before she moves the plant again. She wants the next observation to mean something rather than reflect another quick change.
